I've always seen that stuff advertised in PSI and thought it might work in a grip. Very nice job, it looks better than I thought with that Holo 3D appearance.

Thanks Billy, it is no fun to turn! Really messy as there is a lot of fuzz buried in the pod.
If anyone orders one online, be sure to specify the length you want, as many pods are quite short and unsuitable for a grip.

I have a friend that has turned several for grips. They really make a great grip material and are very pleasing to the eye. He has said more than one that they are very dirty to turn, very dusty. He leaves them with the holes open and also finishes with tru-oil. Your grips are very nice and very unique I like them alot.

As some of the holes are quite big and deep, I found it uncomfortable to have the grip in my hand and can imagine with some time casting one might even develop blisters. Filling them with epoxy (colored) gives one a plethora of options. I'm going to do another and try to simulate some of the spotting of a Brown Trout. A Brookie spots and coloring might be further down the road.
