This is 6 layer weave using Madeira polyneon thread. The background thread is size C Gudebrod NCP and finished with regular Threadmaster epoxy and TM color preserver.

He never mentioned anything to me about rod building. We usually talked about fishing and good places to eat at Rockport. In fact, the last time that I saw him before he passed away was at Rockport. We shared a good bottle of wine that night and next day he went and caught his limit of trout.
