This is a wonderful job on building the rod.
I wonder, have you used such a handle for a long day, or long weeks of fishing.
When I observe the picture, I find that with the minimim handle as you have built, I see that there is almost nothing in the palm of your hand.
I would think that after long hours of fishing, the handle might be uncomfortable.

As one of the other builders posted the picture of the hammer handle.
Basically, a nice comfortable palm filing handle which allows a carpenter to use the hammer for hours on end with minimum fatigue and maximum grip.
Although very neat, and unique, it just seems that a handle that is more hammer handle shaped should be more comfortable and less tiring for the long haul.
I would appreciate any long term use comments on grip, comfort and fatigue with this handle design.
Great job on the build.

Roger, I agree with you. When I build spinning seats, I do everything I can to eliminae any seams or changes in taper so that it doesnt' irritate my hands all day like a standard DPS pipe style seat does.
