Okay, I tried cable ties. See that big lump of plastic on the bottom? It drove me nuts with the thread hitting it while wrapping and I'm back to surgical tubing. I don't know how you boys cope with that!

Chuck, I started using the cable ties. What I do is using my dremel tool, I sand about 1/2 the tie away right in front of the clip portion (the big plastic lump). By doing this I can push the tie up and half the clip is past the end of the guide. Once I have about 5 wraps, snip the tie and wrap the rest of the way up.

These tie wraps are three inch and are not as wide as the four inch
