Working a bit out of my element this one of first 2 fly rod builds. Blank is a Lamiglas PFT 108 5/6 (9 ft 3 piece).
The seat is amboyna burl with engraved cap & ring hardware made by Jeffery & Rhonda VanZandt. The full wells grip is birch bark & amboyna burl and was made for me by J.P. Timberlake.
The guides are Fuji TSVG #12 & #8 strippers with TLSG6J's running guides.
I wanted something special for this particular build and Jeff & Rhonda & J.P. were definately the right choices. THANKS JP, Jeff & Rhonda and everyone who helped with answers to my questions.
BTW, JP warned me to be careful when reaming but I still broke the grip prior to mounting. If you see where the joint is don't blame JP !
That grip was pristine when I got it.
