Hey Scott,
Looks good, one question, im assuming the butcap is threaded, How do you secure ths nut in the base of the rod? Epoxy?

Hey John, yeah the butt cap is threaded. There is a screw insert set into the buttcap. You have to shim it to fit. I epoxied the insert into a graphite reelseat arbor and then turned it down to fit into the butt and epoxied it in place. It holds good and works great. I am working on getting some of the kits together. If you check out Mike Harris's gallery you can see that he came up with the idea, he did his weights in brass, I just liked the look of stainless.

Looks good Scott. Did you have someone turn the weights for you? Also curious where did you get the screw insert from. I was looking into doing this as well, but really didn't come up with a insert I liked.
