Kevin...your whole set up looks very well engineered. It looks like it would work as well, if not better, than the big dollar lathes available. What did you come up with for a thread carraige?

Michael, I don't use a threadcarriage at all, I find they take too long to setup to be worth the trouble. I hand hold the spool in a fly tying bobbin holder which can be bent to apply the correct tension.
