This was on the cover of the volume 5 #2 issue of RodMaker. Hiro sent the rod to me to photograph so I got a good look at it in person. To this day I still believe this is one of the two finest color change weaves (or threadwork of any kind) that I have seen in nearly 30 years of rod building.

This one has got to be my favorite. The colors and detail are unreal. I love how you and Jim U. are using the backround thread to accentuate the design, yet your mind still fills in the color. Again you are fantastic.
