Stan sent me a sample of these grips, all I can say is...if you like fishing an NPS seat for spinning, you will absolutely love this thing to no end. IT has all teh benefits - light, you can touch the blank, adn the shape is perfect for fitting in your hand. Grat idea and great design on this one Stan.

I like the idea Stan. Is it flocked and was it tough fitting to the blank this way?

Now there is something different and even makes sense. Do you just make these for yourself of are you selling them somewhere. Besides the functionallity part of it, there is a huge palet left over for fun stuff.

Thank you. It is flocked cork and it's not very hard to reem to fit the blank. I don't have any for sale but may in the future.

This is real, real nice. The reel foot looks screwed to the cork/grip? How's it holding up - did you do anything special to prevent pulling out? Also, it looks like it puts the reel much further away from the blank...changing the size/location of your stripper guide significanlt?

Steve, regardless of how far it is from the blank, take a look at teh angle of the reel.

Steven- Billy is right there is an angle built into the grip that allows in some cases a better intersect point. And no problems so far with the screwed in reel foot, you can't even feel the screws.

I'm liking that idea a LOT! I hope the design holds up to use over time.
Thanks Stan

Stan how far do you live from the original Colt factory - Looks like a real gunfighters tool! I think that rod will "blow the fish away" as well!
