Joey,
That looks great. It's kind of hard to tell from the pics but did you carve a reelseat out of foam and then glass it with a sleeve and epoxy?

Scott, I used a regular reelseat and put a 1/8in deep by 5/16 rabbet in it on the back end to allow the fiberglass to bond with the seat for durablitiy and to keep from having a hump. I epoxied the glass flush with the reelseat, sanded, then one more very thin coat over the whole thing. Sanded, painted, cleared. I always try for something new or for a better feel on my bass rods. I was a little worried about the durability, separation of the reelseat and handle, but I've tested it and broke it in on some good fish and its held up great. Didn't want to do it on someone elses rod till I made sure all was well and I'm very happy with the result. I hope you understand what I was saying with the rabbeting. Its kinda hard to explain.
