35" worth of wrapping - did both wraps at once. EVA grip in middle will be slid off once epoxy is applied to teh wrap - it was there tomake turning the blank easier. Start taping down teh threads, wrap the butt wrap, come back up, do teh fore wrap.

Pattern dindt' come out the way I had hoped, the Black is too dark on teh dark Red background, it is a doublejointed Spider.

Billy, I can't really get a great look at the spider to see the double joint. It looks like a really long wrap, what will you do under the handle on a long wrap like this? Will you epoxy the whole thing (including the middle section), or will you be able to stretch the eva over the wrap to sit in the unwrapped un-epoxied section?

It's a teaser pic. I'll have clearer pics once the handle is installed. The grip material (in this case EVA) will slide over the epoxied wrap. With cork, there is usually a gape where the OD of the blank is less than the wrap with 2 coats of finish, so I will either build up that area with thread, or just put a coat of finish and level teh foregrip area. Sometimes teh bushings for the reel seat wont' slide over, if that is the case I ream to fit, then split teh bushing lengthwise in half, epoxy each half around the blank, making sure epoxy is in the seam where I split the bushing. I'll hold it in place with masking tape or wrap thread over it, then instal the reel seat on top of that.
