Here is a "new" wrap I created, which is supposed to be a Crown. Majestic colors were used, Purple & Gold. This was built for a friend who is one of the best Blackfishermen around, so I had to "crown" him with a rod, lol.

Damn nice shading Billy, your thread intersect lines are also about the straighest I've ever seen! (what thread did you use (not Gudebrod i'm sure)?

All I ever use for butt wraps is Madeira. I do my best to focus on havin gthe seams straight, while they aren't 100% straight in this wrap, on smaller ID rods (this is a Calstar 800L) I have had a couple come out nearly perfectly straight with all intersecting lines parallel & perpendicular to the blank's axis.
This is a rod for Geoff on the Ocean Eagle, he's been fishing it for the past week, I hope. Hopefully next time I see the rod it is all scratched up, with a layer of clam gook on the grips!! lol.

Ralph - I didn't know you were aware of the King 40 stuff that went on on stripersurf a few years ago. The King...Yeah It's Me - lol. Sea Robin King is about all I'm King of. lol.
I'm glad some people have a sense of humor about these things, becaus eI certainly have a good laugh at some of the stuff I see posted, and even some of the stuff I've posted.
Sincerely, The King of ALL Fishermen. lol.

One day when I have time, I'll PM you teh details of the King of ALL Fishermen, it was really, really funny. You gotta enjoy yourself & have fun with this stuff, that Flamethrower was a great wrap.... the photo was a RYUKEN move from Street Fighter. lol.
IT's pretty cool to have a bunch of clown thread wrappers where we live, with thick skins so we can bust each other's chops, but on teh other hand cool enough to share info & tips/techniques if people are interested.
