This came out almost perfect. The white hilights around the ears is paper thin White EVA which probably measures less than 1/32". The only mistake I made was digging the grip out by one of the hands, there is a small gap, but I'm very happy with how this came out. Total time for both of these grips was in the 7 hour range total, which isn't bad.

Nice job Billy. What glue are you using, Rubber Cement?

Weldwood Contact cement. Not thinned, just straight out of the can. You want to get both surfaces you are going to join completely wet, but at teh same time, you do not want to leave excess cement because the 2 pieces will not form a "seamless" bond - there will be a small black glue line between pieces - which you can see on some of the pink checkers.

As usual you are a magician Billy. You must have some collection of fun sticks.

Doc - I only have 3 rods with inlays on them for myself. All the rest are for other people. I'm heading to the Dry Tortuga's tomorrow, when I return I'll try to finish up your "fun" grip.
