Thanks Ray, Steve, Kevin, Mark and JT. That was the first intent with a friend who works with no processed leather. It's a traditional work in my country. We used goat skin only processed with salt and water and dried. One with the natural color and another coloured with coffee. The skin was cuted as small tapes to wrap over a wood lighter than cork.
I'm thinking about the finish with epoxy, preliminar test looks good, but I don't know if works well.

I cant help but appreciate art/skills like this. Applying a "native" traditional weave to a curved grip is thinking "outside the box" in a BIG way.......I cant wait to see what you do next.
