This is what a bored, addicted hobby builder does when I’m stuck on a long conference call. First you start playing with a paper clip. By hand I managed to bend a snake guide. Call still going…so then look at my pen in my hand. It’s kinda like a small rod, but what to wrap it with? Digging in my drawer (call still going), I find some fairly long skinny rubber bands. Cut them to make two long pieces (two for the wraps, one as a pull through). Hand-wrap the guides with rubber bands. I only had one size and color so I could not cover the full feet of the guide nor do any trim bands. It actually holds really strong. Now whenever I loose my pen, everyone knows who’s it is. “Who’s pen is this?…Oh that has got to be Harold’s”. LOL

Sorry for the quality of the picture, it was from my cell phone…while call was still going on!

That's classic!!! Will the siliconein ruber bands repel epoxy? How did you pack? What other color rubber bands match the pen? Dothey sell aftermarket pen caps and butts? lol

Thanks for the reply Billy. Yes, it was posted in fun…but sadly true. Corporate America at it’s finest. Thank God they have people that take “minutes of the meeting” or else I would have no idea what the call was about in the first place. LOL. See how the pad has no writing on it…it is standard for “show” (you know like I care!!!) again LOL.
The only thing I had to choose from for finish was liquid paper or scotch tape. The first would have made a mess, and the second would have looked like crap. But honestly, it was kinda hard to pack. Rubber bands are square/rectangular and stretch and twist easily.

DOn't let me get started on stuff I've done in while working in Coporate America. I've got a ton of stories which will have your head spinning on what I've been paid to do.
