Mike do you find that the sprins also turn with this configuration? I have recently pkut the springs on the bottome and anchored them so they cannot spin and find the tension to be much smoother. Also with the springs at the bottom I can change spools faster.

Haven't had any problems SO FAR LOL! I think those little plastic screw caps (79 ents a pack at hardware stores) help with that

Doc we sold these to those who knew the true value of the "pecan" at the ICRBE two years ago. Pack one for you next long range trip and you can pay for your bar tab or maybe even the whole trip! With one of these and a five gallon bucket with V knotches in the top you can qualify as a Louisiana Swamp Outrapper! Gon Fishn! [ link ] Gon Fishn

Bill, I don't wrap with that, It was just a demo item I made up for my workshop in High Point. I wasn't about to bring my wrapper in from Michigan

Mike, I was firing at Doc with all barrels! We keep these on the boats to make repairs underway! Doc is carrying a heavy load concerning a Cajun story describing what happens when alligators, squirrels and old Cajuns make the final decision on what to do with a pecan! If you meet up with him ask him to tell you the story! After you hear the story you will need a wrapper like these to make it through the day!
