Now need to carerfully attach to butt piece, final sand and coat with Birchwood Casey. May put a feather inlay initial on a few.

Nice work? Is that finish encapsulating the pennies, or casting resin? How do you keep the neat edges?

Ted, I use reg TM and be sure the piece is level. I drip epoxy onto the middle of the penny with a spatula 'til the penny is full. I let it sit like this for a little while to allow the epoxy to harden some. When the epoxy is a little harder/slower I move it out toward the edges using the spade edge of my spatula. It does not want to be so runny at this point and usually holds up quite nicely right at the edge. Does need to be LEVEL!
