White NCP comparison on black blank and on silver HT metallic

Here you can see what a black blank does to a single layer of White NCP thread.
This thread has NO color preserver, but it IS NCP.
The orange is Gudebrod 'D' NCP
The white is Gudebrod 'D' NCP
The Silver is Gudebrod HT Metallic 'A'
You can see that the black shows through the white considerably...and the silver brightens it up.
You can also see it helped the orange considerably.
The finish is Threadmaster Lite

CP won't help, it will look pretty much exactly the same even if CP is used.

Than is it necessary 2 layers of white NCP or white paint on the blank?

Yes, if you want the whitest white you can get. I've been telling people this for years, to do this exact test. HEre's the thing - unless you wrap teh 2 side by side you will NEVER notice that the white isn't the whitest you can possibly get.

You can also make "candy" looking colors by laying nylon threads with NO color preserver over metalics.
|
