Variegated Thread- Love or Hate?

The rod I posted the other day was my first wrap using variegated thread, this is Madeira. Do you guys love it or hate it? I'm still not sure myself if I like it or not!  Matches the blue/white camo grips somewhat though.

Phil can you do me a favor? DO a solid colored fish wrap, using that threads as the background. I have that one, as well as the GReen Varigated, I wanted to shade the 2 and give the appearance of water, but I don't wrap rods, I just give others suggestions to wrap them for me, lol. I think it looks fine.
