Nice job and reaming to fit the blank will be so easy.

Thanks. It is already reamed and ready. It was for someone else.

Beautiful piece of work Mike. Is it hard to set up the tubing so that the weave is straight?

It can be. Some of the sleeves have a slight 'offness' to the symmetry that can be hard to correct. This is carbon which is both the easiest and the hardest because it is the most supple, it is easier to tuck and bend but if it sticks wrong it can be hard to correct. The fiberglass is much more rigid so its symmetry is real easy to stick but doesn't tuck as well.

I'm having fun and learning with each new piece.
Most people seem to like to high gloss but I realy like the matte finish some hi-speed 0000 steel wool puts on it.

Stupid question time. Is that wrapped around a wood turned handle?
