Hi bill, actually, it was for a friend on a budget, the center is a scrap piece of white pine recycled from a broken closet clothes dowel, staqined with walnut stain, then sanded 99% of the stain off, just to leave hints of color, then 3 coats of tru oil, it came out light as a feather.
