The split grip is made of Maple, trimmed with Wenge and Padauk petals. The blank is a St. Croix 3C62MXF using 3mm Batson micro guides.

Thanks Billy and Jorge. Billy I think that I need more lighting to get rid of the shadows. I didn't tie any of the flies in the back ground, but I have a friend that ties them. They have a fly tying group that gets together a couple of times a month, I need to look into that and see if they will let me join. It looks like it would be a blast.

Another great job Mark! You should start tying so you won't run out of work in your spare time.

Very well done, Mark. Watch out for the fly tying bug. I have now taken up two rooms in my house. One is for rod building and another is for fly tying. It depends on my mood as to what I will do. Ususally my fly tying takes place during the spring and summer when I am out whipping water in gravel pits and small streams near my home.

Very nice. The grain of the wenge gives it an interesting affect.

Stan, I think you may be right, too many hobbies not enough time (lol). Every one thank you for the kind words. I enjoy working with different patterns and hope to have a couple more to try soon. Thanks Mark.
