Long winter, and little supervision creates grips that now need blanks. 3 half wells or westerns, 1 full wells, 1 cigar, 1 reverse full wells (or fenwick) from left to right

Hi Stan, from what I've seen lately on the weather report you are better off staying inside and building handles! We have just had a week of 38-40 degree C temperatures and its Autumn here.Nice work.

MaryLou
The wood for these grips all came from the same tree. Just a difference in location. The light one was from a piece close to the top. These grips are probably darker throughout than most I use.

Very nice work Stan. Rocky Mountain Juniper is one of my favorite woods for grips.

Hi Stan,

Great work on all of the handles, I really like the cigar handle, can't wait to see that one on a rod!

Russ, that shape is very comfortable and practical for me. My next personal fly rod will have that one or the reverse half wells. I'm still in trying to decide.

As always very impressive. One of the things I admire in your work with Juniper is each piece has its own distinct look.

That is a unique feature of wooden grips and especially so with the Juniper. I have them displayed here with the more contrasting features up. Turn them over and they are still distinct but more subtle.
