Putter and I thought we would surprise Doc and give a rod to a very deserving person. I like to kid Doc and we sent this rod to him with the K4KIII rod as a surprise. Doc sent me some of his Koa and I returned a small portion to him with some bloodwood and aluminum trim. Thank You Doc from Putter and Mark.

I am sure what Mark didnt tell everyone is that the aluminum trim is probably the Bud cans I left behind from our last meeting. LOL I have more Mark if you can send a truck by. Both Mark and Putter are so special and bring so many things to this craft, not the least of which is their Generosity. Just look at their continue work in charity like the K4K program. I am proud the be of help with their project and will be there for them as long as they want me. The greatest gift they gave me was to be recognized by my peers for my efforts not just in the artistic/technical sense but sharing. Thanks to all for giving me a reason to keep active in this craft.

That is so cool guys. A great gift for a guy who has probably helped most everyone out there to some degree. I know he has always been there for me when I needed some guidance. Congrats Doc, well deserved !

Thanks all for the kind words. Putter and Doc I have truley enjoyed working on this rod and the K4K rod. It's a lot of fun to make a small part and send it off to see what some one else can do with it. I only wish that I was a fly on the wall when Doc received the rod.
