Is beautiful Kevin. Does it improve the resistance of abalone? I think so.

When you say "improve the resistance", what do you mean?

Is it more difficult to crack the abalone with the over wrap?

What brand of thread did you use and what are the thread colors you used for this wrap? The color combination is very nice.

I used all gudebrod, gold 9004, trimar black gold and metallic black. All size D. I prefer to use all metallics on butt wraps because it alleviates the bubble problem and risk when appliting finish. As to Jorge's question, when I apply the Abalone, it is bendable when I apply it to the rod, so, I don't crack it.
