A couple foam core split grips. I still have a lot to learn about the carbon fiber, but I think I will like it when I get more accustomed to using it.

Hi Putter, Yes one flocked and one Carbon Fiber. I really like doing the flocked foam grips, very easy to do and it is not even like work. May give up on wood and Carbon. Flocked is actually fun to do, like rod building should be. The carbon fiber one is coated with Tru-Oil. (Long story)I think the flocked grip looks better than the photo makes it look. Thank you for your compliment. Have a great day, Rich.

Rich, It appears to me that you are learning quickly. Those grips are very nicely done. I've been flocking on wood and large foam arbor cores for a couple of years now and agree with you about the ease and outcome of flocking. When I complete one I almost feel I've cheated somehow. That may be because the sanding and polishing steps have disappeared. Keep up your good work.

Very nice, I like that you included the reel seat with the grip.

Jorge thank you for your compliment. Stan Grace thank you for your compliment also. You are right it almost seems like cheating, although there is something special about a well balanced wood grip. I was kidding a little about never doing wood grips anymore. Stan Mclean thank you also for your compliment. The Fuji IPS reel seats are my favorite and pretty much all I use. Have a great day and thank you again for your compliments, Rich.

Very nice work Rich. I'd say your learning curve is more than just coming along. They both look fantastic.

These are both really nice grips. Great job. I will soon get into these. I really like the idea of flocking these foam core grips.

Flocking is the ticket,The other colors available make for some interesting color combos. The stuff holds up too. Great job on the grips.

Rich,
What are you using as a butt plug on these? They look great.

Hi Raymond, Stan and Scott. Raymond, the wood takes a lot longer and is a task compared to the foam and flocked. But wood makes it worth the trouble with certain fishing rods. Hi Stan, I think I will like the gray flock also. Scott, the plugs I use are ATB Bar-End Plugs that come on a Two pack blister card with the cyclepro logo on the card. I tried to buy them direct but have had no luck twice, you have to sell cyclepro bicycle,s and components to get a case of them. I think if you do not mind a small logo of a Lizard on the plug you can buy a jar of 100 Lizard Skins Push Plugs on Amazon for $15 plus shipping. I am going to try the Lizard skins sometime, they are much cheaper than the cyclepro plugs. Thank you for your compliment, have a great day, Rich.

Thanks Rich, I did some searching on Amazon and found some cool looking Carbon butt plugs made by ZIPP. Lots of neat end plugs on ebay too, thanks for the idea.

Just beautiful work Rich! Now they look like some fish catchers!

...curious, what type of seat did you use to fit up with the foam?
