Geoff; Looks really good. One thing that might help you..Turn the loom arms so they angle across the rod and it will cut down the amount of spread making it easier to keep your threads aligned with the blank axis. What does the weave mean?

Its an "Ohm" symbol which is the name of my boat. In Buddhism "Ohm" is the sound that was made at the begining of the universe... or the original sound
Russell - Not sure if its harder than crosswrapping.... I haven't tried it yet
