Sometimes I just have to do something for fun. This represents my attitude in the mornings prior to several cups of coffee - Preferrably NAVY style. Hope to see this on a grip some day. 78 x 78 on the thread count and 4 color change.

Great work Doc. I like Randys idea with the toothpick, but, what about a small fish sticking his tongue out at the shark.

I think we need to add something to that coffee to give it a little help. Nice job Doc.

I'm also impressed with how you spliced the photos to show the whole weave.

This one woke me up. It looks like my wife after I get home from the tackle shop. "You bought what? I thought you already had a GPS unit!"

"Hope to see this on a grip some day."

At least you gave me something to do at work this morning. 2 hours cutting up the cartoon, not including black highlights.

Is this on a rod, or a demo, or what?

First off thanks to all of you for all your wonderful comments, being recognized by your peers is important.
Randy, Jim, and Myles. Keep your eyes open for revisions in the future.
Tom I Just learned how to do that with cropping and Picture in picture, that is probably more of an accomplishment since I really dont get along with computers.
Ellis you must have married my ex sister in law.
Michael, Nice pick up on the change. I havent figured out my new camera yet and didnt thing I captured it. I know I missed the green eye.
Billy, believe it or not, I had you in mind the whole time I was developing this one. You are magic with the grips. Why dont you make a DVD on how to do it.
Thanks again to everyone who comments on all the work posted here. It just drives the artist to bigger and better things and show the next group or artists how we support each other.

I couldn't make a DVD at my desk at work, lol. Doc, I had plans to do a couple of things this year threads & grips, I just don't have enough time to get everything done that I want to get done. At some point, maybe after my son graduates High School & gets a Scholarship to a non-local college (please, please, please -lol) I'll haev some more time to focus on fishing & rodbuilding.

Where do you come up with these ideas, off the top of your head? You designed this shark by drawing yourself, or you saw a picture somewhere else. I have ideas for stuff I like, but I'm not an artist - I'm a very good copycatter though, lol.

No this one came from the back of a T shirt. I am not much of an artist either. My ex is and from time to time I tell her what I am looking for and whe will give me a rough sketch then I take it from there. Does it require a lot of equipment to do the grips the way you do them? I am in awe when I see your handles. Where are you in NY. I have a buddy(sorta) on I think Statton I. and I was stationed in Balston Spa for 3 years, lived in Saratoga. What a lake that little baby is. Drop me an email.
