Fantastic photo sent to me by a satisfied customer down in South Georgia, Dusty Dollar. I know he sounds like a stripper but that's not a stage name. He's a real good person and a great angler and hunter.
Rod is an SCIII 3S70MLXF with a split grip, size 18 NPS with Quik Lock cork foregrip, and Fuji chrome Alconites configured in the New Concept - I think 20-12-8-6s out to a size 6 tip.
Dusty wears them out (and sends me plenty of great photos, which I LOVE) on 20 lb. PowerPro, a 14 lb. Flourocarbon leader, and a Berkley New Penny Gulp Shrimp on a 1/8 - 1/4 ounce jighead. He has landed sharks to 5' on this rod, so we can put away all the myths about single foot guides as small as size 6, etc. being too weak.
Logo from Decal Connection. All components from Custom Tackle Supply. All other non-specified righteous knowledge from RodMaker Magazine. Now if I can just get a good photographer like HIM to take pictures of my carbon fiber grips and Holo wraps!
(UPDATE: It has been brought to my attention that some of the above text could be construed as condescending and judgmental towards strippers. The author fully realizes and acknowledges that there are many strippers who are also good people, good fisherpeople, and good hunters and that the categories are not explicitly mutually exclusive. No offense or judgement intended.)
