I simple transfer station for making little spools from big ones. My Dad did this from stuff he had on hand in his home shop. Not pretty but works great and don't clog up his wrapper with set-up & tear down.

Cones are designed for the thread to come off the top of the spool, not the sides. Not that it matters as you would have a hard time controlling it getting it onto the spool. Much nicer than my system fo rxferring spools.

Hey Ray. That looks like something along the lines of my line winder for my reels. I think I'll have to stick with my 1100 and 400 yrd spools. I'm already cramped for space as it is. Be careful Ray. People are gonna start calling you a "Daddy's Boy"! Smile!
