This is my first attempt at the nail knot method for doing trim. I usually do pull through. Can anybody who uses this method tell me if this looks correct? I notice theres a small bump. Is this a problem for finishing as I like to keep the epoxy to a min.

That's about the best you can do. Lightly flame the edge to get rid of that small speck of "fuzz." If you put the "bumps" all on the same axis (top or bottom) then the overall look is more uniform and not really an issue.

Scott, if you're interested in trying something just a little different, try adding three turns of black thread on the outside of the tinsel wrap. I like the way the black thread defines the end of the wrap.
