I finally found a saw that will work in the new checker jigs from Custom Tackle Supply. The jewelers saws that were recommended were pretty much useless and wouldn't do wood or acrylic and barely did Andy's cork. I found this saw at [ link ] and it instantly turned the jig into the ultimate checkerboard tool. It is .010" think and JUST fits in the slots giving 12 perfect wedges.

Thanks for the tip Mike! I really want to buy that jig, but can't justify the funding to my CFO right now - or else I'm sleeping on the couch :-)
Hey - are those cork rings in the background? :-)

I thought that maybe it was :-) Glad to see you are putting it to good use - I haven't had time to build anything as of late...

Perfect timing.
My jig came today, and I was going out tomorrow to find a saw.
Thanks for the heads up.
