What is the distance from the rearmost portion of the reel seat to the tip of the butt cap?
I am curious, from a balance point of view?

Roger, this particular setup has a 2.5" foregrip, a Fuji Soft Touch #18 reel seat, a 2" upper butt grip and a 2.25" lower butt grip. The space between the lower grip sections is 4.25". This rod was balanced to a Stella 3000FD weighing in at 8.2 ounces. -------------------- Mark, thanks. The rod was built using TATSG/TLSG guides wrapped using Charcoal regular nylon, so it went translucent. It also incorporated a RECoil HD single foot Titanium wire guide for a hook holder. This particular client spares no expense, but likes them to look "classy vanilla".------------ The entire weight of the finished rod was at 4.1 ounces ... not bad for a HS9000 7'6" spinning rod.

Jim,
Did you add any weight at the butt of the rod to achieve perfect netural balance with the reel in place?
With a 9 inch back grip that you have, I would have thought that you would have needed about 1 1/2 ozs of weight with your other compenents to achieve perfect level rod blance with the components used.
Thanks much
Roger
