Has some interesting grain in the wood. How well does this wood hold up as grips?

Walt and Jim,I used an ink for cosmetics mixed with alcohol and after this only sandpaper. The grain in the wood realy is interesting, I'm testing with other colors. It's a wood that I found during the fishing at Amazon in october, there are 3 kinds of wood lighter than cork and I'm testing too. Thanks.
