Split grip handle with quality cork and hand turned guayakan wood (has a very good smell when turning. fuji reel seat skeletized and inserted wood. the finish is only a wax polish. this wood is so oily and durable that it actually doesn't need a coating os stabilization. Tiger butt wrap.

It looks very nice. I like the look of the wood accents. Thanks for posting a picture of the entire grip it was hard to imagine from the original snippets. The wood looks a lot like a rosewood is it (guayakan) from the same family? Mark

Yes, I guess that it belongs to the rosewood family. The splint is yellowish with dark green pores (very few). I still have a good stock of that wood, about 6 years ago I have brought that from the dominican republic; a log weighing about 30lb. My bag was darn heavy lol.
