I made a couple of web (Samsara style) grips for a friend (two on the right). He provided a couple of Mudhole reel seats that are in their holographic paint. They look very nice; the wood on the two on the right is Walnut, Maple veneer and a crushed turquoise for the center dot. The fly rod grip is going to be for my son, he wants to build a 4wt so he can learn to fly fish. Byron (recipient of the two on the right) has volunteered to give us fly fishing lessons this coming spring. It should be something new for us; I've built two fly rods that have never been wet.

Mark, kind of a funny thing happened to the baitcaster and spinning rod. I made them for a friend and he finished them and gave them as a gift. Last week end they were camping and left the pair in the bottom of the boat over night; they were stolen out of the boat along with the rest of his tackle. One thing about it they should be easy to identify if they ever catch the fellow that stole them.
