I like the ramp Jay. I think it would have been better though if you left out the single ring. Thats just me though. Nice job!

Thanks Ray. I agree with you. I have built a couple like that and I think they look good but you can't get your finger on the ramp while under a normal retrieve and that was the whole idea with me. I don't think I will do that anymore.

Good job on the wrapper too Jay. My dad built me a wrapper very similar that I dedicated strickly for doing weaves and I have those large adjustment knobs just like you used.
Not sure on how you like to hold the rod but you can get the ramp & blank closer to your fingers if you trim the threads on the pipe seat back so you just have enough to secure the reel. When removing the reel the hood would un-thread past the ramp if the ramp is not larger than the seat diameter.

Thanks Ray.The knobs came from Lowes. They go on push lawn mower handles for folding up the handle, 5/16x 18 thread, perfect. Excellent idea on the ramp. I am starting a build on a 7' spinning blank with an NPS seat and was planning on doing exactly what you just said ! Will post a photo of it.
