I'm having fun with colors lately. The top pic is halfway through the wrap, and at that point looked like a rod for the Easter Bunny.
Blank is a Lami XMG722 (thanks Putter), reel will be a Diawa Tierra 2000 with 6# Pink Fireline or Flame GReen Fireline - I got all my bases covered to match the reel & whatever line I use. Rod weight was 1/1oz, after wrapping only the thread 1.3oz, will post the weight onc the finish is applied - I think I ruined the rod putting 2 wraps on it (split & in front of foregrip were done at teh same time, oen was shaded 4:1 the other 3:! ratio)

Yeah, it's ruined. However, don't trash it. In the interest of recycling just send it out here to me and I can use it for spare parts.

Jim, you might be able to use this blank as a blowdart through one of the Tuna rods you're used to building, lol!! Thanks Mark, Ralphie & Jorge. Mark, you can use the sunglasses Jorge loaned you to view his wrap, and look at mine.

Ya never cease to amaze Billy! I really like that single light border on the pattern. I don't remember you doing much PINK though. What happened? LOL

THanks, sorry about typing the wrong model numbers. I'm good using braided line with graphite, there's no need to set the hook too hard, especially with teh smaller hooks which should penetrate really easily, just lift up and let teh fish hook itself. THanks to everyone else. I've got 2 more rods to wrap, and am trying to pick out some off beat color combo's for those as well. MY free 30 day subscription to that color wheel program is running out, lol.
