Jay, That is beautiful work. Call that your two planets in orbit rod. I think I have been watching too much National Geographic TV but that is what that handle reminds me of.

I reckon thats a pretty damn good job for a second attemp. As for a gloss, go with Tru-Oil but rub it down well between coats with 600 sandpaper or fine steel wool. I've just finished some handles this way and the finish is great.
