I hooked 23 other trout on this morning, with this being the biggest landed. I caught this on a rod I built, with a fly I tied, made of dubbing I manufacture! Talk about interactive sports!

Hi Chris,

What species of trout is it? I remember as a child my Dad catching the occasional trout, although we lived in a much cooler part of the state back then, I am thinking they may have been called rainbow trout. They are not indigenous to Australia & seem to do well in the colder parts of the counry.

Thanks for the comments!
Roz, the picture does not show all the spots on this fish; it's covered! It is what we call a cuttbow; a cross between a rainbow and a cutthroat trout. What a great fighter, this one was! Smile
