Mark: What is the OD of the rear butt piece. I am interested in doing a shape like that on a two piece rear grip for a casting rod. My customer has a habit of jamming the butt into his waist while fighting fish. My largest pieces of cork are the burl rings that I bought from Andy Dear at Charlotte. I do not have a wood turning lathe and will have to resort to hand filing and sanding. I have a Pac Bay rod lathe with the metal chuck and have not tried to turn anything other than preformed cork handles. Do you know of any material that I can use to cut some trim rings with that Rod Lathe. Any help will be appreciated. Bill Stevens

The OD is one inch, there are different materials out there you could use, the best is to send me an E-mail and I can let you know where to look for them.
