First Wrap - Diamonds (with finish)

Diamonds underneath the guides (all of them). This was the first rod I completed, and it was tedious to say the least! All done by hand...wish I had a power wrapper at the time to layout the underwraps and locks...

Jeff,
As you can see on this one - I couldn't build a straight line at the end of the threads from the thread to blank transition. I have since bought the power wrapper and that is a breeze now. But, I extended too far onto the blank here because I was trying to build a straight edge.
There were also a few tiny bubbles. I'm also going to blame that on the fact that I had to 'dab' the epoxy on because it was spinning so slow. I've since fixed most of that with the power wrapper and high speed application. Still not glass like yours, but close.
Best thing is, The owner never knew it wasn't perfect

Yeah, I've realized that things that I notice about my work, no customer would ever see... unless of course I was selling a rod to Doc or Hiro or any of the other masters on this site...LOL. Your work is looking great. Glad to see you getting involved in this, it's been a blast for me.
