I have one last rod to post with a web design. The fore and aft grips look like cob webs as well. I did Billy V's Black Widow between the split. The blank is a Shikari PP703.5 and the wood is walnut with maple veneer. The fore and aft grips are six segments x seven segments. I almost forgot the web is a take on the Samsara Cues Web pattern.

Mark, this is really some great workmanship on this rod. Now really, is this the "last web"?

Jim and Putter, This isn't the last one I'll make, but it's probably the last that I'll post. I've posted two others like it and any more than that seems like a waste of space. This one gives an optical illusion of bending the wood to look like a hanging web. The fore and aft grips are 7 pieces of walnut sandwiching 6 pieces of maple, then cut on six axis's. Total pieces give or take on each grip 80. I thought it was kind of neet so I thought I'd post it. Guys, Thanks for the comments. Mark

I for one will never tire of seeing your craftsmanship regardless of the pattern used.

Absolutely incredible Mark. I got a weave that would go great with that rod.
