Not so identical twins for someone special. Handles turned by Rich Gassman, one of my favorite weaves.

Doc, the owner has been blessed with a very special rod. Rich's grips and your weave what could get better than that.

Yes, the checkers were mine, but Rich incorperated them beautifully into the grips. I think the whole project turned out very well. Putter said the blank for the other project should be at my door soon and you should have more checkers in hand soon. Thanks Mark.

Is there a a jig or template or something to make the grip cutout around the IPS easier..that is an IPS seat right? I've been finishing most of the cutout on a drum sander but I'm spending a horrible amount of time.

Steve, I have not gotten a chance to do one myself but Ray J. has a tutorial on fitting the IPS seat on this link if you want to take a look. He has a home made jig that he uses for fitting. [ link ]

You dont know me very well Jorge. I have made of lifes practice or screwing things up. Ask my Ex - she has then all numberated LOL No I have to tell you these make the second and third handle Rich has turned(the first was the Kustom 4 Kids rod last year). It is like holding a feather formed specifically for my hand. No weight to them and just awesome beauty. Mark did some awesome checkers and Rich blended it all together. To tell you the truth I was scared to death to mount the grips after doing the weaves. I would have hung myself if I had split something. This is the perfect examble of function and art coexisting to each others benefit. I understand Rich has a new design that is supposed to be even better. I dont know how that could be because I was seriously considering losing these in my own backyard. LOL they are erognomically perfect for me.

Awesome job guys. You really make a great team!
I'm with you Doc, I have several sets of grips made by Rich and can't fathom how they could be any better. Can't wait to see what he's come up with now!
