Bill, very nice work on both rods. What woods did you use? The top looks like Rosewood and lower Ebony?

Thank you for the comments,,,The wood on the rod on the top is olivewwod from the middle east,along with around (12 coats of varnish sanded and polished),,very expensive wood,but worth the money,turns nicely and has beutiful grain.The lower rod is a peice of recycled mahogany from a table leg,,,,used satin finish on it ,,,looked nice with the antler.
