Have not had a problem yet that was not the direct result of me screwing up buy not properly packing, burnishing, and CPing the thread prior to finishing. The metallics hold up well as long as you don't wrap too tight like I tend to do for some reason.

So, you CP'd the thread before applying epoxy. Do Putter a favor, do a long (6") test wrap with the metallix, and on 1/2 the wrap put a coat of CP, on the other half no CP, then coat with epoxy and let us know how it turns out.
