Boy does this ever bring back memories. Looking at mine a couple weeks ago, all I could think of was the hours of fishing I missed.

I was watching your team's efforts in Cabo on the Internet. Fine job and good luck with future IGFA World Class events. If you can manage to balance your time between fine vino, abundant parmisiano reggiano, plenty fishing I guess you can also do some weaving on the side - Do your Jumbo passengers have any idea what the pilot is thinking about while sitting up front and hauling them across the water? CIAO from de Bayou in Louisiana! On second thought are you doing those weaves on the flight deck while the computer is driving the bus?

Hello Bill,
yes I enjoied Cabo, but with my crew we have had same problems with the last skipper, he has asked us money ( 200 USD ) for each fish, also those never catched !! So we have not accepted, and our fishing day is finish before to start, so we have declared this at the organization, and the skipper was been expelled.
But this not change our disappoint, because we fish only 3 days. We have also the video camera movie were is possible to see and listen what the skipper ask to us.
For this I am thinking to ask to IGFA the refound for all the cost that we have made for partecipating at this event . In any case, never I will partecipating at another IGFA tournament !!!

I am quite sorry to hear your days were not pleasant. I presently have some connection with the Rules and Executive Committe of the IGFA. I am working with them for changes in the rules for blue water fly rods. It is a shame that a charter boat captain could completely destroy such a wonderful opportunity for fishing with the worlds best. You should visit the IGFA Forum and ask Jason Schratweiser to assist you with your problem. Here is the link to post the question. Tell him you are a rodbuilder and ask for his help on the open forum. [ link ]
