3 electrical connectors, some brass tubing, a piece of thread rod, two nuts, and some solder - now THAT'S cool!!!

Brass brazing rod not tubing, all the rest is correct except you forgot the two little springs and washers. One each on each side of the bobbin.

Whats the legs made out of on the bottom that is supoprting it against the blank?

Scott; Thats just a short piece of the same rod. It just has solder on it so it looks silver in color. One of these days I'll make another one thats all cleaned up with a little different method for holding it on the blank. However this one works well enough that it's not bugging me so it may be awhile.

oh yeah - springs and washers! Brazing rod - makes sense... You know, with hollow brass tubing and titanium springs and thread rod, you could lighten that thing up! LOL!

Actually I was thinking of using a tube to pass the thread through long enough to slide a small weight over to get a little more weight. Like the one I use on my travel lathe.

Hey jim nice work.I made one and the feet put small scraches on the blank but i solved the problem with some erasers.Drill to fit the feet works well.
