As usual top knotch. I Need a huge favor. Please take a look at the blue holo I posted ( [ link ] ) I do not have the stuff to test at present. Please open the picture, click on it to enlarge and take a close look. It is done with metallic silver, cobalt blue on the bottom, two coats of finish and topped with J Metallic Blue. I tried the wrap with blue nylon on top and it did not give the appearane of blue water like this one. Is there any way that the tuna stickers (with blue) will show through that wrap? If you think it will I will strip the rod and order the sticker and redo. It is on a high profile blue water fly rod. Your comment will be highly appreciated.

Hi Bill that is a tough question. To tell you the truth the holo/tiger wrap stuff is sooo new. I think in this case part of what gives you the water look is the metallic silver. If it is just the blue wavy lines you are looking for then try it with out the Met. Silver in the underwrap. Also what you can try is wrapping with three threads on each layer and take out one on the bottom leaving cobalt and the Met. Silver. Then on the Top layer take out two leaving the Metallic Blue. Just some suggestions that might work. I have tried with some darker colors and you can see the stickers but not nearly as clear. Hope that helps. Thanks guys for the comments. Doesnt seem to be a popular technique judging from the sparce comments on the sticker ones I submitted recently.

I don't care what park you walk in. THATS COOL!! Even with my limited experience I do understand what your saying though. Familiar seas are eaiser on the nervs compaired to uncharted waters!
