This is a rod I picked up in Singapore about 8-9 years ago I guess. I remember it was a steal, I picked up this rod with a Shimano Calcutta, plus a Seeker Rod w/ a Shimano Symetre, for about $450 U.S. Anyway, I love the rod and the buttwrap, but haven't been able to figure out how it's done. Some sort of a split diamond? Any ideas?

I didn't know it then by the model number (MB-Mag Bass?), I've taken this rod about everwhere and caught everything from Mahi and grouper to oilfish on it.

Looks like a double or triple split diamond type pattern to me. Closed out with a silver and black border. Would have to see it in person to really disect it.
